Escalium Updates: October 2026

October has been the month with the most Escalium updates since we launched the platform. We’ve lowered prices, raised limits, and packed the video editor with tools that used to be exclusive to professional software. Plus, we’ve fixed a solid handful of bugs you reported. Here’s the full rundown, step by step.

We lowered prices and increased limits

We know some of you were disappointed with the platform after the hiccups we had at the start of summer 2026. That’s why this month we’ve upgraded our most used tool, the video editor, and slashed its price so it’s affordable for any artist.

Advanced video editor: all the new features

Escalium’s advanced video editor comes, as the name suggests, with everything a video pro or a newcomer to video marketing needs. This month it received these upgrades.

Separate vocals and instruments from any track

Now you can split vocals, drums, bass, and the rest of the instruments from a track directly in the editor. It works with video audio too.

All processing happens on your own machine, using your GPU, so your track never leaves your computer. It’s perfect for pulling an acapella, creating an instrumental version, or making a clip that only plays the vocals.

Magic Mask: remove background without green screen

With Magic Mask you cut out a person from any video. When you create a new mask, the background is transparent by default. That lets you place your artist in front of another clip or add text behind them, the effect you see so often on Reels and TikTok. Marking the subject with points is free, and automatic detection is Pro.

Tracker: text that follows your artist

The tracker follows a person or object, and now any text attached to a tracker moves with it in both preview and export. Scaling also works with keyframes or tracking.

Transitions between cuts

Drag a transition onto any cut on the timeline or press Ctrl+T. You can adjust its duration from its own panel, and the sound fades in with a smooth crossfade, no volume jumps.

Keyframes, 3D rotation and perspective

X rotation, Y rotation and perspective now animate with keyframes, up to ±180°. Plus, a keyframe you drag over a clip follows the cursor to the end, and you can now add borders to shapes.

Professional color correction

Nodes, primary, curves, HSL, qualifiers, tracking windows and LUTs. Give your video a cinematic look without leaving the browser.

Speed, slow motion and freeze frame

Change the speed of any clip, create smooth speed ramps, reverse video, or freeze a frame. It’s perfect for syncing a moment with your track’s drop.

Audio: silences, voice‑over and volume

• Silence remover: now a compact panel inside the editor. Set the threshold, listen to the preview, and apply.

  • Simple: just click and the system automatically finds silences

  • Custom: find silences with custom settings, adjusting threshold, minimum pause, margin, and many more advanced tools you can tweak.

• Voice‑over: record directly on the timeline, after a 3‑second countdown.

• Volume up to +24 dB: with a limiter so it doesn’t clip, like DaVinci or Premiere.

Subtitles and professional formats

Import and export subtitles in .srt and .vtt, and work with ProRes, DNxHD and DNxHR files. If your machine is just handling heavy clips, enable proxies and edit without lag.

More comfortable workflow

• Dual screen: resources on one monitor and the timeline on the other, or the viewer on an external screen.

• Customizable keyboard shortcuts: including named markers with comments (Shift+M).

• Composite clips: group multiple layers and edit them as one.

• Easier rotation from preview, and a cleaner timeline bar.

• Device sync: send the open project to another device to keep editing.

Create videos from YouTube content

The desktop editor app now opens YouTube links and downloads much faster.

In our tests, a 2.7 GB file downloaded in just over a minute.

Paste up to 5 YouTube links with videos up to 2 hours, and decide what percentage of the final video comes from each.

Escalium cuts the best takes to the beat of your track. Language is no longer required, it detects automatically.

Plus, it now keeps you logged in, shows your activity across all your devices and has its own affiliate tab.

The macOS version is coming soon. In the meantime, you can use the web editor on any computer.

Lyric videos: multiple at once and more control

This is a new option where Escalium lets you upload multiple of your own videos, choose the settings once and Escalium suggests the best part of the song for each, with automatic transcription.

Everything is managed from a single dashboard with one timer.

Upload a livestream, podcast or music video and Escalium finds the highlights and turns them into vertical clips you can edit. The free plan includes 1 long video per week, and paid plans are unlimited.

Transfer files over Wi‑Fi

Recording on your phone is everyday, even professional, so we added the "Escalium Transfer" feature that lets you send large files from one device to another using just Wi‑Fi—completely free, no cloud upload or subscription needed.

Scan a QR code and you’re taken straight to the platform or the editor.

In the advanced video editor (the app) you’ll find it under My Clips → From Another Device.

Smart links and advanced analytics

Smart links with multiple songs

Your smart links can now bundle several songs on a single page—great for an EP or album. Each track has its own button text and an optional audio player. If you’re prepping a release, read how to build landing pages and Spotify pre‑save campaigns.

Discover where your fans come from

Each page’s analytics show traffic sources, UTM campaigns, countries, devices and clicks per platform. You’ll know which campaign works and where to invest.

Playlist tracking

Track the playlists you care about and see how many followers they gain over the last 24 h, 7 days and 30 days.

We check them every 30 minutesso you can spot a padded playlist before paying a curator. Limits per plan: Free 3, Creator 25, Artist 100 and unlimited for Labels.

You can now connect Escalium to your favorite AI via MCP

Now you can link Escalium to Claude, ChatGPT or any other AI and ask it to do what you need by chatting with it. For example: “make three lyric videos for this track”, “create the single’s landing page” or “how did my streams look this week?”.

Bug fixes

• Export no longer comes out reversed when using GPU‑accelerated effects.

• No more black frames or weird cuts in the preview.

• Fixed scrolling when rotating an element from the preview.

• Clip thumbnails always finish loading.

• Videos keep their audio even if the first audio track can’t be read.

• Text can now be trimmed down to a single frame.

• Long exports are built to disk instead of RAM, preventing crashes.

• The editor warns you if the same project is open twice.

• In the desktop app, if a page fails to load you’ll see an error screen with a log for support instead of a blank window.

FAQ

Are the new features available on the free plan?

Most of them, yes: transcribing audio to text, Transfer, smart links, Overview and Stats, and one long video a week with Long to short.

Some advanced editor features, like automatic Magic Mask detection, require a paid plan. Compare the plans.

Do I need to install anything to use the advanced editor?

No.You can use it from the browser on any computer, or download the Windows app if you prefer working with projects saved on your machine and faster downloads.

Does separating vocals upload my track to a server?

No. Voice and instrument separation happens on your own device, using your graphics card.

How do I report a bug?

If something goes wrong, the editor will show you a window to let us know. You can also write to us from Help & Support in your panel menu.
